Comment: Carmella - i'd recommend going to Milan - its very trendy, the shopping is great and there are lots of bars etc. Go to Corso Como, its where all the life is at night... Dont miss out on apperativo in the Armani bar! have fun xx

Comment: Carmella If you are travelling from the UK I would reccommend Turin as a good alternative to Milan. The shopping is just as good and the cafe culture is arguably the finest in Italy (not as expensive as Milan)

Comment: Further to Ric's comment below (2 Feb 2006) please note that, as more Non-British members have joined, the Puglia community has now moved to http://www.pugliaposse.com/ to reflect the increasingly international nature of the membership. You don't have to be a current Italian resident to join, and membership is entirely free, with any surplus from get-togethers etc. going directly to Southern Italian charities.

Comment: Buone jurnate! I live in Napoli and recently discovered that there are many English speakers who desire to know more about the Neapolitan (Napulitano) language. I created a primer that combines English, Italian, and Napulitano proverbs, words and phrases and I worked with local speakers to put all of this on CD as well. To my knowledge, this has never been done before, so, if you are interested, go to www.lulu.com and search under Neapolitan or Napulitano for the book and CD.
