This affectionate and easily trained small to medium curly haired dog originated in the Romagna region in North East Italy. This breed of dog is specialised in finding truffles and being a strong swimmer was also duck retrieving dog for the Etruscans in 7BC.

This ancient breed of dog originates from central Italy and dates back to the Bronze Age. It descends from the European Spitz. It was adored by Italian royalty, and even Michelangelo had one!
